Play Swanee River Boogie
I was able to rip it on 93S piano and get people moving, my original goal.
Make Amazing Grace Bluesy
More or less where I was envisioning the song. Still need to work on timing, and there are some areas where left hand could chop better, but it's fun to play around with. A little more practice and I think it'll be sounding pretty cool
learn "River flows in you" on Piano.
Practice of 2 hours more. If I memorized one part of the song I joined to the next. It was import to find a relaxed position for my hands.
Play main Neon guitar riff
Three major changes lead to big improvements, both having to do with increasing accuracy of right hand picking: 1. Tried to play “as quietly as possible”. Basically, instead of going crazy, went as accurately and deliberately as possible. This put more focus on hitting right notes rather than thumb/palm slapping. 2. Started resting ring and pinky finger on the guitar body. This provides a stable base to focus on picking properly. 3. Have been warming up with the “one two one two” picking pattern that you see in the beginning of this video. Doing that for a few minutes let’s me hear if I’m accurately picking (since the pattern is the same throughout the song). Going slowly and working up to speed has really helped
