Update #1: Replace basement lights
10% completeThere are four lights in my basement, each of them had the old style pull chain switches, but over time several of them broke. This project aims to replace the lights with newer brighter more efficient lights that won't break.
Update #2: Replaced 2/4 light fixtures
50% completeReplaced two of the four lights in the basement. The one shown in the picture is by far the most complex one. This light was also passing power along to the outlet for my work bench.
Challenges Overcome: I correctly replaced the circuit and kept the power outlet pass-through.
Obstacles Faced: Figuring out the best way to keep the power outlets powered with the light switched off.
Looking Back: 3d printed fixtures like the switch box saved me some money!
