Update #1: Roll my Rs… finally

I want to finally learn how to properly roll my rs in Spanish. Or other languages like Italian, Czech , or Thai.
Challenges Overcome: I’ve spoken basic Spanish for years, listened to music, or just been around friends who speak the language.

Update #2: I can kinda roll the r but not in a word..

60% complete
I took some advice of trying to replace the 'r' which a 'd'. I watched a couple youtube videos that just said "try it" pretty much. There was a Youtube short that suggested taking the 'ara' sound out and try it seperately. There are english words like 'ladder' that replicate that tongue movement.
Challenges Overcome: I started to be able to roll my r
Obstacles Faced: i can't do it in a word
Next Steps: keep practicing the techniques mentioned in post.
Looking Back: nothing yet
Discussion: I think I have a bad metric. Duration of r in and out of word are separate.

Update #3: New technique

50% complete
Okay so after watching the YouTube short I mentioned prior, my main practice has been trying to roll my r whenever I am driving just for a few minutes. I have tried rolling both inside and outside a word. Again, I am more or less comfortable doing it outside a word. I realized, my main issue with rolling inside a word is that I am not able to generate the tongue to roof of mouth action quick enough while maintaining a seal. So, my next step is to continually practice the following: Place the tip of my tongue against the roof of my mouth just behind my front teeth. Lightly touch the sides of my tongue to my upper side teeth to create a seal. Exhale a steady stream of air over the top of my tongue. Start making a fluttering sound with my tongue by lightly vibrating the tip against the roof of my mouth.
Challenges Overcome: My progress has come in realizing I am at a roadblock, I needed to try a new technique.
Obstacles Faced: Is this the actual issue I am facing, i.e. the movement speed?
Next Steps: Practice rolling the "r" sound by incorporating it into various words. Experiment by inserting the rolled "r" sound into different positions within words to help improve your proficiency with it.

Update #4: Still working on it

50% complete
Beginning to be able to roll within a word slightly

Update #5: Moved my tongue

70% complete
I’ve realized that moving my tongue further back is better for the consistency of rolling my r. It isn’t as easy to get to that position but I think with practice that movement will get faster. I noticed this after doing my Pimsleur lessons in Spanish and really practicing the words where rolling of the r is needed

Update #6: Calling the goal complete!

100% complete
With the practice over the past few weeks and finding the best spot for my tongue, I am happy to call this goal complete. There is obvious improvement that can be made further but that just comes with more practice!
