Update #1: Make a new set of DND miniatures
I had so much fun making the last set and giving them out to my friends that I decided to start working on some more, this time attempting to do more work on the detail in each step before I get to painting which was much harder than I thought
Challenges Overcome: Started 4 miniature wire armatures, probably will make 6 again that seemed to be a good amount last time
Obstacles Faced: Im attempting more detailed structures this time so ill have more pieces in the overall picture
Looking Back: The structure built into the wire doesnt matter so much once its fired but it certainly helps when you add the clay so it doesnt wobble, also the detail in the clay translates greatly to the painting step so dont think to add everything in the last segment
Update #2: Added clay to all figures and about to bake them!
45% completeWorked hard on the faces this time, still a mixed bag of success but made sure to spend a lot of time on faces and hands in the clay stage this time before getting to paint
Update #3: Finished the set!
100% completeCooked and painted the new set, i learned a lot about how to make distinct features in the clay stage and then during paint the eyes and mouths are more detailed by adding a deep layer of paint either red or white and then small details like irises or teeth as necessary. Much happier with this set
