Progress Updates (4 total)

Update #1: Release Opus by December

I've boiled down a list of about 200 bugs and improvements I'd like to refine before launch, out of the thousands of thoughts I've jotted down. Of course there will be other realizations and improvements noticed along the way, but staying focused on these core items will allow completion in a few months.

Update #2: Emphasizing a focus on progressing and completion

@robocop445 had a great point, if a user is able to post an indefinite amount of Goals, without a target date, they won't complete them. So, a few big changes on how Goals are set: 1. Users will only be able to work on 3 Goals at a time 2. Users will now have "Dedication", "Perseverance", and "Ambition" scores 3. All Goals must have a target completion date 4. Added a notebook, for users to add notes between progress More ways to facilitate and motivate the user to follow

Update #3: New view of progress- more like a timeline

The design is tbd but I like being able to see all chapters at once- rather than having to guess where what is

Update #4: Released In February

100% complete
I spent the last few months refining what needed to in order to create a clean, basic working platform. There are many other ideas left but it was important to move to having somewhere users can try and collect their feedback. Having a clear target helped focus me
Challenges Overcome: Focused on a good UI, UX, easy tutorial, easy posting, easy goal viewing, good user sign up process. Everything else was extraneous.
Obstacles Faced: Choosing which features to exclude for initial release.
Next Steps: Time to get some users and implement some of their nice suggestions
Looking Back: Simple and clean is better than rushed and busy. Users will all have different opinions on what to add and what to change, but it's up to you to determine how to incorporate these changes towards your long term goal. Keep the focus.
