Progress Updates (6 total)

Update #1: January: Complete one craft a month

I have so many craft supplies, and I just keep getting more! I want to actually work on my crafts, and have something to show at the end of each month to keep me motivated.

Update #2: January: Needlepoint eyeglasses case

20% complete
Finished the beach & the sun! Next up is the sea & the flamingo, and then last will be the tree & the sky.

Update #3: January: Working on the water!

20% complete
Hardly looks like I’ve done any work at all, but I’ve got all the water highlights & lowlights done. Now I’m working on filling in the body of the water, and then onto the flamingo!
Obstacles Faced: There’s two points when I feel really frustrated with a project — when it’s about 40% complete, which means I’ve done a lot and still have a lot to do, and when it’s 90% and I just want to be done. This is definitely at that 40% stage. I just have to keep my head down and keep going.

Update #4: Finished the water!

50% complete
I’m all done with the water! I think instead of working on the flamingo next, I’m going to move to the seagulls or the palm tree — I need some easy wins to feel good about this project!

Update #5: All the detail work added!

80% complete
The only thing that’s left is the pink of the flamingo and the blue of the sky! I’m at the point where I’m pretty tired of this project, so I know I’m close to being done. Just have to remind myself how happy I’ll be when it’s finished!

Update #6: Finished! (In a last minute panic)

100% complete
Guess who didn’t realize the month was almost over and had to panic finish this during class? Either way, I’m all done now - washed and drying, and ready to go!
