February: One craft per month

Embarrassing admission - I forgot I bought these to paint for my friends! Time to make up for it by finally painting and decorating these plant stakes!

Painted over the raw wood with gesso, to make it easier to paint. Next step is filing it down, and then we get to paint!

I know these don’t look any different in a photo, but they’re different to the touch — I’ve sanded down all the edges and now they’re ready for the first coat of paint!

After two layers of paint, we’re ready to go into detailing and making these look really special.

Don’t love the way this turned out? but I think it’ll look nice when it’s all done, and it definitely adds some depth to make these more interesting to look at!

I forgot how fun it is to craft, and then put it off - only to get back into it and remember how much fun I had. That’s why I had this burst and just finished off these crafts — I like how they turned out!
