Update #1: Plant 2 Fig Trees in ground to produce delicious fruits.
Figs trees are hard to grow in a very cold climate ( as N.H) , but we wanted to experiment and take a chance by planting them in our backyard.
Update #2: Digged two large holes in ground,added some organic fertilizer and then transplanted the fig trees from their pots and planted
25% completeFew weeks later , both fig trees became much healthier , grew greener and started to produce fruits:)
Update #3: Made sure both fig trees recently planted in ground get enough water and nutrients to keep them healthy and ready to produce
50% completeNot much, just the newly planted trees are growing nicely and have plenty of small fruits
Update #4: One of our fig trees that we transplanted in ground beginning of the summer is holding almost a ripe fig!It will need couple mor
65% completeThe beautiful warm and sunny days in addition to growing in ground instead of being in a pot,made a big difference for the trees.
Update #5: Just discovered that figs are getting purple colored and the fruits are getting bigger and ripe; this is big improvement !
75% completeThe mainly change is that transplanting the trees in ground was a big success.
Update #6: Enjoyed picking up wonderful, tasty and sweet figs out of our backyard ; what a great feeling really:)
