track the progress on my climbing roses!
So once again i’ve been heavily influenced by instagram. I put this trellis on the side of the house last summer but it was too late in the season for the rose bush to actually climb. I started early this year and bought a second climbing rose variety. Can’t wait to see the results!
Keeping my perennial garden healthy and growing
Want to track the growth in my perennial flower garden! It’s a lot of work weeding, mulching and planting perennials/taking care of them so they come back year after year
Remove invasive “burning bush” and invasive vine from the yard
It took about a week. I’d say I pulled 50 bushing bushes and 30 vines from the trees. They will probably come back because the roots are so deep but at least they’ll spread less for now!
Clean up garden beds
Big plans for the spring garden. Getting brain surgery unexpectedly last year meant abandoning the garden for a while.
make flower arrangements with flowers from the garden
These limelight hydrangeas and butterfly bush were grown in my sisters garden- what are sisters for?!
Repot my dwarf umbrella tree that seem to be dying
Repot it! I hope my plant survive
Build our dream garden space
We just bought our first house this past year and are starting from scratch with our land. We’ve spent this summer clearing this sunny area to start sculpting it into our future garden/bee space but have a lot of work to do!
take care of plants the right way
this plant is so big- just about 3 years old now. she likes to spend her summers on the deck in the sun.
grow beets
Still need to plant more because they only grew in one half and honestly are looking pretty scraggly, but now I'm growing surprise herbs too so maybe something will succeed in the pot
Improve curb appeal of house
Planted two boxwood shrubs. Planted two arborvitae trees. Moved planters around.
Build a Miniature Garden
There’s an age old saying in New Hampshire stating no planting until after Memorial Day. My dad doesn’t want to plant until the 31st so in terms of progress for the community challenge I am complete. The last big changes were more root removal and adding/mixing in compost!
