Progress Updates (4 total)
Update #1: Perfect Swan Latte Art
I am working to improve my milk quality and pour to make a more realistic looking swan
Update #2: Trying the design on drinks with different milk textures
Tried the pour on different drinks with different milk textures. Flat white did not come out how I hoped despite technique being identical.
Update #3: Working on pouring
85% completeI was struggling with the pour of the neck and head of the swan because I kept running out of space in the mug, I have spent the last few weeks working on pouring quicker initially and then waiting to let the milk settle before I start the design. I have found this very helpful. I have been working on abstract designs just to see the capabilities I have with the milk pouring.
Challenges Overcome: Milk is pouring better, getting more comfortable with the volume of the mug
Obstacles Faced: A steadier hand would probably serve me well, definitely need to work on timing as well
Looking Back: I would have started with more basic designs/ just drawing with milk as opposed to trying this complex design
Update #4: Well here we are
100% completeWorked with a lot of baristas who offered me advice on my pours, a culmination of their advice brought me here
Question: What design should I work on next?
