Progress Updates (4 total)
Update #1: Train an experienced barista how to do a rosetta design
I feel that I can train myself how to do latte art, now I want to work on applying those skills to teaching, above is my own art and the target for the barista I am working with
Update #2: Worked on pouring technique
60% completeTeaching someone the techniques is a little easier when they already have good milk quality. I find the part that every barista that I have taught struggles with, is the cut through at the end. Going to continue working with her and others I train on going quick at the end to avoid a thick stem.
Update #3: Worked on the pour with an emphasis on speed and pulling through the “cut” at the end
80% completePoured too fast, which I suppose is an upgrade from the previous too slow poor, milk quality was rally good though, its rally all about confidence and putting it together
Update #4: mixed it up and tried a more difficult design (with oat milk)
85% completeSomeone saw a video of how to pour a swan at work and it has been the talk of the town
