Update #3: Day 15 (20%)

20% complete
Finished 2 weeks of ‘75 hard’! Feeling much better physically and mentally. Enjoy this cringe #progresspic
Challenges Overcome: - Made it to Day 15! - Been in a calorie deficit for 2 weeks - Barely consume processed food - Walking min. 8k steps everyday - Hitting 80g protein and ~25g fibre everyday
Obstacles Faced: - It is difficult to maintain high fibre intake - Hitting my step goal is very hard when working (usually need to go on a walk at the end of each day)
Next Steps: - Focus on lifting heavier in the gym - Limit protein intake from protein bars and yoghurts (to prevent sugar spike)
Looking Back: - Eating protein early in the day keeps you very full - Meal prep is important - Need one rest day per week (no run or gym)

Update #4: Day 23 (30%)

30% complete
Have struggled to be consistent over the past week after my birthday and a trip to Melbourne. Alcohol is not productive 🥴
Challenges Overcome: - Completed 3 weeks! - Lifting heavier in the gym - Having way less sugar cravings
Obstacles Faced: - Drinking and eating out with friends ruins my macros for the day - It’s hard to get steps in when the weather sucks
Next Steps: - Try and stay consistent over the next week of exams
Looking Back: - Incorporating one rest day per week - Having a few days off track is okay and won’t impact much

Update #5: Day 32 (40%)

40% complete
Struggled to find time to go to the gym this week because I had final exams… but in other news, I’m finished my Law degree!!!
Challenges Overcome: - Stayed consistent with eating during exams - Tried to keep my steps up
Obstacles Faced: - Making time to cook took time out of my study
Next Steps: - Use the next 2 weeks to hit my goals every day
Looking Back: - It’s hard to make time to exercise when you are cramming

Update #6: Day 38 (50%)

50% complete
Made it halfway!! ☺️🎉 Feel so much more energised each day and being ‘healthy’ is starting to become more of a habit rather than an active choice
Challenges Overcome: - Maintained a calorie deficit for 38 days - Feeling much more confident and less insecure in the gym - Lifting heavier in the gym (e.g. have progressed from 10kg face pulls to 25kg!) - Noticing some small physical changes
Obstacles Faced: - I find it harder to hit 8k steps everyday than go to the gym everyday
Next Steps: - Try to hit 10k steps for the next week to counteract all the days that I haven’t hit my step count - I want to be able to do multiple pull ups by the end of this challenge
Looking Back: - The scale is not always accurate as your weight can fluctuate up to 3kg daily (especially for women) - It’s better to eat normal desserts than opt for ‘sugar free’ alternatives (too processed)
